Three Arrested Following 2024 Armed Burglary Investigation in the Town of Bedford

TOWN OF BEDFORD, VA. — Following an extensive investigation into a 2024 armed burglary in the Town of Bedford, police have arrested three individuals after utilizing forensic DNA evidence and cellular data analysis to identify and locate those involved.
The investigation was conducted through a coordinated effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies and forensic specialists. Evidence collected throughout the case established links between the suspects and the crime scene, ultimately leading to the successful apprehension of the individuals believed responsible.
Arrested and Charged
Joshua Ryan Bobbitt, 35, of Rocky Mount, has been charged with:
• Breaking and entering in the nighttime while armed with a deadly weapon
• Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
• Grand larceny
• Wearing a mask to conceal identity
• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
• Destruction of property valued over $1,000
Zachery Devin Niday, 21, of Roanoke, has been charged with:
• Breaking and entering in the nighttime while armed with a deadly weapon
• Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
• Grand larceny
• Wearing a mask to conceal identity
• Destruction of property valued over $1,000
Brennan Arcardious Washington, 23, of Roanoke, has been charged with:
• Breaking and entering in the nighttime while armed with a deadly weapon
• Accessory to use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
• Grand larceny
• Wearing a mask to conceal identity
• Destruction of property valued over $1,000
