On September 3 rd 2024, the Bedford Police Department responded to the Days Inn Hotel
located at 921 Blue Ridge Avenue in the Town of Bedford for a report of a larceny.
It was reported that during the early morning hours, someone had broken into two vending
machines located on the property, ultimately causing property damage as well as stealing an
undisclosed amount of money. During the course of the investigation, Tony Marino Webb was
identified as the suspect in those incidents.
On September 6 th 2024, the Bedford Police Department detective bureau coordinated with the
Roanoke County Police Department detective bureau to attempt to locate Webb.
Webb was located in the downtown area of Roanoke City after a brief foot pursuit, and taken
into custody without further incident on a number of outstanding felony warrants previously
obtained by the Roanoke County Police Department in regards to the alleged offenses.
Webb is being charged with two counts of misdemeanor property damage and two counts of
felony tampering with a vending machine, in regards to the incident at the Days Inn in Bedford.
The Bedford Police Department would like to thank the Roanoke County Police Department for
