Following an extensive and ongoing investigation, Damonyea Quintez
Mallory, age 35, of Lynchburg has been arrested for the following
charges:
§ 18.2-51.2 Aggravated malicious wounding.
§ 18.2-22 Conspiracy to commit a felony.
§ 18.2-53.1 Use or display of firearm in committing a felony.
§ 18.2-279 Discharging firearms or missiles within or at a building or dwelling house.
§ 18.2-308.2 Possession or transportation of firearms, firearms ammunition, stun weapons,
explosives or concealed weapons by a convicted felon.
§ 18.2-422 Prohibition of wearing of masks in certain places.
This investigation is in relation to the May 14th 2026 shooting which occurred on Piedmont
Street in the Town of Bedford. The Bedford Police Department would like to thank the
Lynchburg Police Department, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States
Marshal Service for their assistance in this investigation. This arrest also is a result of the
utilization of policing investigative tools such as Flock Safety.
